LocalBusiness schema is a schema.org type (and family of subtypes like AutoRepair, MedicalClinic, Restaurant) that marks up the core facts of a local business: name, address, geo coordinates, opening hours, price range, and the area it serves.
Why it matters
For any business with a service area, LocalBusiness schema is what makes it eligible for map-pack placement and resolvable as an entity by AI assistants. Without it, a local business is just text a crawler has to guess about.
How we think about it
We emit the most specific LocalBusiness subtype that fits the trade, AutoRepair for a mechanic, MedicalClinic for a practice, with verified name, address, and area served, generated from a typed builder so the same facts appear consistently on every page.
