Hartwell's website was clinical in the wrong way. Dense text, dated design, and a navigation structure organized by medical taxonomy instead of patient need. Prospective patients couldn't find the information they needed without clicking through five layers. The site actively increased anxiety instead of reducing it.
We rebuilt the entire experience around the patient journey. Navigation follows patient intent ('I need a check-up' not 'Internal Medicine'). Physician bios lead with personality, not credentials. The booking flow is calm, focused, and respects patient time. Every design decision was tested against one question: does this lower anxiety?
